ABRCMS Scholars Discuss Their Keystone Symposia Conference Experiences

Each year, the DLSP awards two competitive travel awards to Keystone Symposia conferences to graduate students or postdocs who attend that year’s Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS).  Our 2015 ABRCMS Scholars, graduate students Danyeal Heckard (Meharry Medical College) and Timothy “Ayo” Adesanyo (Ohio State University Medical School), attended different Keystone Symposia conferences.  Ms. Heckard attended “ New Frontiers in Neuroinflammation: What Happens When CNS and Periphery Meet?”(Keystone, CO), June 19-23, 2017 and Mr. Adesanyo attended “Heart Development” (Keystone, CO), March 26-30, 2017.  Ayo shares his thoughts with INCLUDE on what that experience meant to him as a junior trainee.  (For more about our 2015 ABRCMS Scholars, please see their profiles in the March 2017 INCLUDE).
